Police: Man steals car, leads police on chase

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police had a man in custody Saturday morning after they say he stole a car and led police on a chase on the city's west side.

Officials on the scene say around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, officers were on the lookout for a white car that was reported stolen. They believed they saw the car in the 1300 block of West 21st Street and when they tried to stop the car, the male driver refused to pull over. The driver led police on a short pursuit. The car crashed and the suspect ran from the car. He was caught by a K-9.
